Ms. Dierra Dunn
Dierra Dunn is an English/Language Arts teacher at Stewart Middle School. She received her Bachelors degree in Middle Grades Education from Albany State University. After graduation, Dierra stepped off stage and into her first classroom as an English Teacher for the College and Career Learning Center. After returning back home to Douglasville, Georgia- Dierra resumed her teaching career at Stewart Middle School as an eighth grade social studies teacher. While teaching, she attained her Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction with Accomplished Teaching from Georgia Southern University. Dierra is very passionate about education and cultivating her students to not only realize their potential, but help them maximize it as well. She values that her work as a teacher today will leave a lasting impact on tomorrow; therefore, she leads with a servants’ heart. When she is not in the classroom, she spends her time supporting her students in their extracurricular activities. Dierra believes that is important to show interest in their interests and building up a child holistically. She is showered with an abundance of love, support, and encouragement from her family, friends, church members, students and her Stewart Middle School family. Currently, Dierra teaches eighth grade English/ language arts, serves as the eighth grade chair and assistant cheer coach. She is grateful for the opportunity and recognition to represent Stewart Middle School and serve as their 2017-2018 Teacher of the Year.
